Erwin Hymer Group North America Welcomes MP’s to Take a Ride in the Autonomous RV

Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA –August 16, 2017 – Erwin Hymer Group North America (EHGNA) Inc. the leading class B manufacturer in North America welcomed Minister of Transportation Marc Garneau along with the Minister of Small Business and Tourism, Bardish Chagger and Marwan Tabbara, Member of Parliament for Kitchener-South Hespeler to discuss the first Autonomous RV. EHGNA is likely the first RV manufacturer in the world with a government permit for testing an autonomous vehicle on public roads and has been working with the University of Waterloo on this technology.

After a quick introduction, Marc, Bardish and Marwan were in the RV and taken for a drive with EHGNA engineer Charlie Rossi.  These advancements in technology are very exciting; anticipating what we can look forward to in the future. EHGNA officially has a grand opening in September and has welcomed the visitors back to celebrate the opening of an additional plant to further build new technology, class B motorhomes and towable trailer units.

Minister Marc Garneau was quoted as saying that today he has seen “ various impressive demonstrations of new technologies where Canada can become a world leader.”
